Getting HERE

The club strives to be a good local and global citizen by encouraging members and guests to choose a sustainable form of transport to and from the club. The sustainable option is also often the most enjoyable and most healthy option.

Walking or riding to the club are considered excellent warm-up and cool-down activities to complement sailing :)

🥾 Walk

If you live nearby, please consider walking. Did you know, a walk from Bondi to Double Bay is just 45 minutes and takes you through picturesque and leafy streets including the historical Cooper Park.

🚲 Bike

Many of our members enjoy cycling to the club and some come as far as Gladesville! There are bike racks in Steyne Park to park and secure your bike.

🚘 Car

If private car is the most practical mode of transport for your situation, please consider car-pooling with other members. This is a great way to get to know fellow sailors, as well as a means to reduce emissions and the time spent searching for parking!

Street parking in Double Bay is limited, especially on a Saturday, with most spaces restricted to 2 hours.

Wilson Parking and Care Park are available on Cross Street which is a short walk from the club.

Free/unlimited parking exists around the inside perimeter of Steyne Park as well as in some sections as indicated in red on the map below.
