The Women's Regatta
The Women's Regatta will return to Double Bay Sailing Club in 2024. Stay tuned for updates.
Here are the highlights from 2022:
The Women’s Regatta was held on Saturday 3 December 2022 at Double Bay Sailing Club, an integral event for female ILCA / Laser sailors around Australia.
The one-day event included races on Sydney Harbour, great food, entertainment, and activities aimed at women of all ages who currently sail an ILCA / Laser dinghy, or are looking to return to racing.
Double Bay Sailing Club also ran a series of small-group training clinics in the weeks leading up to the event, focusing on improving sailing skills such as race starts, upwind technique, and downwind technique.

ABOUT COACH SYLVIE STANNAGE
Sylvie has been sailing for 10 years, with the last 6 being spent training and racing in a Laser / ILCA dinghy. She has been training intensively with Brett Beyer for 3 years, and has been competing globally in U21 and Open championships. To support her overseas campaigns, Sylvie races at DBSC every weekend, and spends as much time as possible sailing around the harbour – she's pretty easy to spot with a bright pink ribbon in her hair! Sylvie also spends a lot of time coaching at different levels including a Learn to Sail program at her other club, as well as ILCA and OK Dinghy sailors who compete at national level events. Sylvie is passionate about helping women in sailing and developing a great network of women who love being on the water.
