We are lucky to have some of the world's best Laser sailors as active members of our club.
The elite Laser sailors featured below are all DBSC members and are experienced and accredited coaches. They are ready and raring to provide small squad and 1:1 coaching direct to our members of all sailing abilities.

Brett Beyer
Brett beyer
Brett is an Olympic coach and 15-times Laser Masters World Champion. He has an extraordinary understanding of all dimensions of the sport and a unique ability to communicate this clearly and in a way that is tailored to the specific needs and learning-style of each student.
In just a few lessons with a Masters sailor, he makes simple improvements that have a dramatic effect on results. And there is no end to the horizons of learning and growth available beyond that as he works with students to reveal successive layers of technique and tactics.

Campbell Patton
Campbell PATTON
Campbell has been sailing ILCAs for 10 years, and private coaching when he can for 6 years.
He has competed in 14 world championships (5 in ILCA7) and is currently campaigning for the 2028 Olympics in LA. Training with Campbell also helps support his campaign!
Campbell get’s a huge kick out of helping club members fine tune racing skills. Anyone at club racing level and beyond (4.7, radial, standard) looking to improve your racing in 1:1 or small group sessions please get in touch:

Paige Caldecot
Paige Caldecoat
Paige Caldecoat is a passionate and experienced sailing coach, dedicated to helping young sailors develop their skills and confidence on the water. As a competitive sailor herself, she’s been part of the 2023 SB20 World Championship team and was previously an Australian Sailing Futures athlete in the ILCA. Paige is also heavily involved with Double Bay Sailing Club’s Reach Youth program, where she works with aspiring sailors in a fun and supportive environment. She strives to create a positive and encouraging space where young sailors can grow, challenge themselves, and develop a lifelong love for the sport.

Daniel Costandi
DanIEL COSTANDI
Since 2016, the Laser’s been a huge part of Daniel’s life. He’s raced in 8 World Championships and trained under Olympic legends like Tom Burton, Matt Wearn and Mike Leigh. He is currently ranked #1 in NSW and has been an athlete in the Australian Sailing Pathways since 2018. As a Senior Coach with Australian Sailing, he works with all levels. Daniel’s sessions include briefings, debriefs, on water coaching, written notes, and video footage (when coaching from a powerboat). His goal is simple: help you love the sport, build confidence, and perform at your best.
