Our PRO for the day Rod Barnes reports in.
The weather gods shone favourably on the fleet on Saturday as sailors were greeted to a 6-11knot westerly with blue skies and a clear harbour.
In the radials Brooke Wilson dominated the fleet in all three races but was pushed all the way by Ian Alexander, Andrew Cox and Kate McHugh.
Youngster Charlie Byford showed some great form in the early stages of the third race but was overrun by wiser heads.
In the standard fleet Daniel Costandi showed a clean pair of heels in all three races closely followed by others including a consistent Rob Vann.
Although they now sail in different fleets it was great to see Brooke and Daniel have a tacking duel up to the finish in the first race.
The racing was managed by Rod Barnes and David Airey on the Jazzman supported by John Verco and Steven Boukatos on the Paul Adam.
Thanks to Paul Adam for his regular supply of tomato soup which is always a winner at the end of winter sailing.

Last week all members should have received an email from our Secretary, Tory Epworth, with a link to a members’ survey.
This is the second time the club has conducted the survey. Your ideas and feedback from the 2017 survey resulted in tangible initiatives throughout the club, such as the Brett Beyer coaching sessions, the new boat hoist, improvements to how we manage and schedule races, as well as the greater strategic direction of the club.
Now is the time to take another ‘pulse-check’... The survey is short - with only 9 questions and should take 5-10 minutes to complete. The survey’s anonymous, but your response is vital to ensure that all members of the club have a voice. We’d love to get a 100% response rate from all members and look forward to sharing survey insights with you in the coming weeks.
If you have not received this email, please contact Tory.

It’s official! She’s back!
The Women’s Regatta will be returning to Double Bay Sailing Club on Saturday 3 December 2022. The one-day event will include races on Sydney Harbour, great food, entertainment, and activities aimed at women of all ages who currently sail an ILCA / Laser dinghy, or who are looking to return to racing.
Double Bay Sailing Club will also run a series of small-group training clinics in the weeks leading up to the event, focusing on improving sailing skills such as race starts, upwind technique, and downwind technique.
“After the disruption of the past two years, it's fantastic to be hosting the Women's Regatta again, and to establish this as an annual event in our racing calendar,” said Tory Epworth, Secretary of Double Bay Sailing Club.
“As a club we are committed to increasing female participation in sailing, and events like this encourage female sailors from Sydney and beyond to come together and celebrate their ability, resilience, and love of sailing,” said Steven London, Commodore of Double Bay Sailing Club.
